Transience

In your reticence of light I flow
toward an outeramber chill of dusk

Elysian pinks on orchid whites
your skin reflects the glow of time

flush with the desire of a morning
moon into the skyfire we step ablaze

our hearts in soundless flight crisp
as winged leaves that flutter beyond

this threshold this season of our
rising thunder rings like the rain of stars

our hearts sketched ethereal as dreams
as your eyes speak to me in enchantment

a language of eternity, dawn’s oration of
timelessness, love’s bouquet of our impermanence
