Sandalwood burns in an elite heaven
As distant thunder rumbles in the carnage

Like phantoms in the shadows of a dawn
Palettes of that time color the ochers
of patience with the umbers of radiance

Like the way reeds sway in a Fresh Kills estuary
Western light enhancing silhouettes of its sparkling waves
Reminiscence of this kind sets the tone for

My musings, it’s precision unmatched in forgiveness,
like Light seeks its balance in whites
awash with a blush of sunder and deep magentas –

Here

in this state I see you walking towards me
Manic in my love for you, yet tempered
in the most platonic way

Being thankful for
this kinetic moment
Here Now with you
